A new witness testified in the trial of Tony Humby, detailing multiple encounters with Humby during his teenage years, stating he was intoxicated each time. The witness, who started these encounters at 13 and ended them at 17, expressed regret for coming forward and described the experience as extremely traumatizing.

Despite reluctance, the witness shared his story with the authorities after Humby and Bruce Escott were arrested in 2023. He emphasized that he never intended for charges to be laid but wanted to support other victims. The witness labeled Humby and Escott as sexual predators who preyed on vulnerable youths for their own gain.

During cross-examination, the defense questioned the witness’s memories and prior statements to the police. The defense hinted that Humby might testify and deny certain allegations. The witness refuted this, citing detailed knowledge of Humby’s personal life as evidence of their relationship.

The trial is set to resume later in the month after a two-week break. Humby faces a total of 89 charges, with 72 counts of sexual violence against 11 youths currently under trial. Additional charges, including trafficking and sexual assault, have been filed against Humby in separate incidents.
