RCMP have filed drug-trafficking charges against five residents of the Northwest Territories following a search warrant execution in Fort Providence. According to a police announcement on Tuesday, the authorities confiscated approximately 133 grams of suspected crack cocaine, along with four long guns, a replica firearm, ammunition, and drug-related items. The individuals, aged 18 to 59, were apprehended and charged with various offenses, including drug trafficking, possession for trafficking purposes, possession of unlawfully acquired property valued under $5,000, possession of a firearm with unauthorized possession awareness, and reckless firearm use. All the accused have been detained as the investigation continues, as stated by the RCMP.
