Los Angeles police apprehended a woman for allegedly firing gunshots near the residence of Grammy-Award winning singer Rihanna. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. It remains uncertain whether Rihanna was present at her home during the incident, which occurred on Sunday afternoon.
Law enforcement received a report of gunfire in the Beverly Hills area, leading to the arrest of a 35-year-old woman. The suspect was taken into custody without resistance, and authorities recovered a firearm. She has been charged with attempted murder and is currently held on $10 million bail, pending formal charges by the district attorney.
Although the police spokesperson did not disclose the homeowner’s identity, multiple local sources indicated that the property belongs to Rihanna. The house is recorded under a trust managed by Evan Jehle, who serves on the advisory board of Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation.
Footage from KABC-TV revealed five bullet holes on the home’s front gate. Police dispatch audio indicated that the shots were fired from a vehicle across the street. There is no known connection between the arrested woman and Rihanna.
In a separate incident in 2018, a man trespassed into another property owned by Rihanna in the Hollywood Hills, leading to charges of stalking, vandalism, and resisting arrest. The individual received probation as part of his sentence.
Rihanna, a nine-time Grammy Award recipient, has achieved 14 chart-topping hits on the Billboard Hot 100, including popular songs like “We Found Love,” “Work,” “Umbrella,” and “Disturbia.” Additionally, she founded the successful makeup brand Fenty Beauty in 2017.
Recently, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky welcomed their third child, a daughter named Rocki Irish Mayers, in September.
