Ralph Priso netted a crucial goal in stoppage time, and Belal Halbouni secured victory in a penalty shootout as Vancouver Whitecaps triumphed over FC Dallas in an exciting playoff match. Following a 1-1 draw in regular time, the Whitecaps clinched the best-of-three series in the MLS Cup playoffs.

As the second seed in the Western Conference, Vancouver is set to host the Western Conference semifinal at B.C. Place stadium on November 22. The team will face either Los Angeles FC or Austin in the upcoming conference semifinals.

FC Dallas’ Petar Musa scored his first career playoff goal, giving his team a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute with a well-executed shot past Whitecaps’ goalkeeper Yohei Takaoka. However, Priso’s late equalizer, off a rebound from his own header, leveled the score at 1-1.

The game went to a penalty shootout where Vancouver’s Halbouni sealed the victory with a decisive goal. Dallas’ Nolan Norris missed the final kick, securing the Whitecaps’ win. Vancouver had previously dominated with a 3-0 victory in Game 1 of the series.
