Canada’s Félix Auger-Aliassime secures a spot in the ATP Finals after Novak Djokovic’s victory at the Hellenic Championship. Djokovic clinched his 101st ATP title and a record-breaking 72nd title on hard courts by defeating Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti in a thrilling match. Despite his win, Djokovic withdrew from the ATP Finals due to a shoulder injury, allowing Musetti to take his spot in the event.
The ATP Finals, set to take place in Turin, Italy, from Sunday to November 16, will feature a lineup of top players including Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz, Italy’s Jannik Sinner, Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton from the United States, Australia’s Alex de Minaur, and Germany’s Alexander Zverev.
In the opening match of the group stage on Monday, Auger-Aliassime will go head-to-head against Sinner, the current world No. 1 player. Sinner recently claimed victory over Auger-Aliassime at the Paris Open final, reclaiming the top ranking in a closely contested match.
