Cavalry FC Advances to Third CPL Final

Calgary’s Cavalry FC secures a spot in their third consecutive Canadian Premier League final. The reigning champions defeated Forge FC 1-0 in the CPL Contender semifinal at Hamilton Stadium on Sunday. Tobias Warschewski netted a goal in the 57th minute for Cavalry, setting up a final showdown against Atletico Ottawa in the upcoming North Star Cup final. This tournament replaces the North Star Shield, previously awarded to CPL champions from 2019 to 2022.
