Soccer sensation Delaney Baie Pridham has clinched the prestigious title of Player of the Year in the Northern Super League, further enriching her collection of accolades. Hailing from Ottawa Rapid, Pridham has not only secured the league’s Forward of the Year title but has also claimed the Golden Boot award for scoring the highest number of goals at 18.
Pridham, a distinguished athlete with dual Canadian-American citizenship, originally from northern California, dominated the NSL statistics by leading in both shots taken (83) and shots on target (42). Her remarkable achievement includes being the first player in the league to achieve a hat trick in June.
Adding to Ottawa’s triumph, Jyllissa Harris was recently honored as the NSL Defender of the Year. Additionally, two other Rapid players, defender Olivia Scott and midfielder Min A Lee, have been recognized in the league’s “team of the year.”
Despite finishing as runners-up in the six-team league, Ottawa Rapid showcased an impressive performance with 11 wins, eight losses, and six draws, accumulating 39 points from 25 games. The team is now gearing up to face Vancouver Rise in a crucial home-and-home semifinal series scheduled for the upcoming week.
