In 2015, Jesse Jia-Bei Zhu left British Columbia with legal troubles, including a jail sentence and a substantial court judgment related to his failed ambitions in the bull semen industry. Recently, Zhu’s name has emerged in the U.S. in connection to unusual allegations involving bio labs in California and Nevada stocked with potentially hazardous substances.

Zhu, a dual Chinese and Canadian citizen, faced legal setbacks after authorities discovered a suspected lab in Las Vegas where he intended to stay during his trial for distributing adulterated COVID-19 tests. Denied release, Zhu remains in custody since his 2023 arrest following the finding of another lab in Fresno County, California, housing test mice and vials containing substances like HIV and tuberculosis.

The legal battles shed light on Zhu’s past actions, with court documents revealing a complex journey that led to controversies in both Canada and the U.S. The records also raised concerns about Zhu’s companies obtaining government grants through questionable means linked to immigration.

Zhu’s troubles escalated when he defied court orders related to a technology theft case, setting up a new entity to produce sexed semen secretly using confidential technology. Despite claims of innocence, Zhu faced significant legal consequences, including a massive $270 million court ruling against him.

The situation worsened when law enforcement uncovered a lab in California associated with Zhu, leading to charges of selling unauthorized COVID-19 test kits. Amidst legal battles and accusations, Zhu has maintained his innocence and challenged the authorities’ actions against him.

The recent discovery of a bio lab in Las Vegas further complicates Zhu’s legal woes, with FBI involvement and arrests related to hazardous waste disposal. While Zhu’s lawyer denied his involvement in the Las Vegas case, the legal saga continues, with ongoing efforts by XY LLC to enforce court judgments against Zhu.

As the legal battles persist, Zhu’s actions have been scrutinized, with court documents highlighting allegations of fraudulent activities and questionable conduct. The complex legal proceedings underscore the challenges Zhu faces as he navigates multiple legal disputes on both sides of the border.
