Tousignant, who had her leg amputated at age 10 due to bone cancer, overcame various obstacles to become a key player on Canada’s Para ice hockey team. She was the first woman selected for the national team in 2023 and aimed to compete in the 2026 Paralympic Games.

Despite the setback of her diagnosis, Tousignant remains committed to pursuing her dream of Paralympic participation. She emphasized the significance of every training session and ice time as she strives to make her dream a reality.
