The Regina Police Service is currently conducting an investigation following the discovery of a deceased male inside a residence on 12th Avenue in the early hours of Saturday morning. Authorities responded to a call at a residence in the 1000 block of 12th Avenue just before 1 a.m., where they found the deceased individual, according to a news release issued on Saturday.
Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement officers secured the area and enlisted the assistance of the major crime and forensic identification units. Police tape cordoned off the vicinity of 1000 12th Ave., near Winnipeg Street, by early Saturday afternoon. Several police vehicles, including a forensic identification van, were observed outside the residence.
Regina police have emphasized that the investigation is still in its preliminary stages, and no additional information is currently available. The identity and age of the deceased individual have not been disclosed, and it has not been indicated whether the death is being treated as suspicious.
