The Americans dominated the game, outshooting Canada 23-11 and converting one of their four power plays while holding off all five Canadian power plays.
Canada had previously advanced to the gold-medal game with a decisive 9-1 win over Italy. The Para Cup will be hosted by Canada in Dawson Creek, B.C., from Nov. 30 to Dec. 6, serving as their final international event before the Milan-Cortina Paralympics in March. Canadian forward Greg Westlake expressed optimism for the upcoming season, emphasizing the team’s unity and commitment to improvement.
