The Rolling Stones have announced the upcoming release of their new album, “Foreign Tongues,” set to debut on July 10. Along with the album announcement, the band has dropped a new single titled “In The Stars” and will be hosting an event in Brooklyn attended by Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood.
Their previous album, “Hackney Diamonds,” was released in 2023 after an 18-year hiatus in creating original material since “A Bigger Bang” in 2005. The new album, “Foreign Tongues,” is said to feature a special appearance by the late drummer Charlie Watts from one of his final recording sessions, as well as contributions from Steve Winwood, Paul McCartney, Robert Smith from The Cure, and Chad Smith from Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Mick Jagger expressed his enthusiasm for the recording sessions at Metropolis in London, emphasizing the intense but passionate atmosphere during the creation of “Foreign Tongues.” The band collaborated once again with producer Andrew Watt, known for his work with artists like Post Malone and Justin Bieber.
Fans had been anticipating the new album, with clues and teasers leading up to the announcement. The band initially used the pseudonym “The Cockroaches” and released a vinyl track under that name as a sneak peek. Subsequently, billboards featuring the album title in various languages and a distinctive mouth logo appeared worldwide. The band’s website was updated with studio-style video clips, slide puzzle graphics hinting at the album cover, and a short teaser video for a new song.
Excitement is building among fans as the release date for “Foreign Tongues” approaches, marking a significant moment for The Rolling Stones and their loyal followers.
