American skier Mikaela Shiffrin showcased her dominance in the Alpine Ski World Cup slalom race in Finland, setting the stage for the upcoming Olympic season. The 30-year-old outclassed her competitors by a significant margin, securing her ninth victory in Levi and her 102nd World Cup win. Albanian Lara Colturi celebrated her 19th birthday by finishing second, while German skier Emma Aicher clinched her first-ever World Cup slalom podium in third place.
In a remarkable performance, Shiffrin posted the fastest times on both runs, finishing with a time of 1:48.92 to claim her 65th career World Cup slalom victory. Unfortunately, Canadians Sarah Bennett, Kiki Alexander, Arianne Forget, Amelia Smart, and Ali Nullmeyer did not qualify for the second run.
