The documentary, titled “Musk,” was showcased at the Venice Film Festival and garnered a standing ovation. It delves into Musk’s career, portraying him as a controversial figure aligned with powerful individuals like former U.S. President Donald Trump.
Receiving mixed reviews, critics have described the film as an in-depth exploration of the world’s wealthiest man, highlighting his provocative actions and leadership in the tech industry. Musk has publicly denounced the documentary as a “hit piece” since its announcement in 2023, reiterating his disdain for it on social platforms.
Following the premiere, Musk expressed his dissatisfaction with the documentary, labeling it as “boring” and criticizing Gibney’s credibility. Musk’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, issued a formal legal notice to the production, emphasizing the importance of verifying facts.
