Montreal Canadiens player Kirby Dach will be sidelined for the next four to six weeks following a foot fracture, as announced by the team on Sunday. In response to this setback, the Canadiens have brought up forward Joshua Roy from their AHL affiliate, the Laval Rocket.
This injury adds to a series of setbacks for the Canadiens. Recently, the team revealed that forward Alex Newhook and defenseman Kaiden Guhle will be out for an extended period due to surgery. Newhook underwent a right ankle procedure and is expected to be out for four months, while Guhle had surgery for a partially torn adductor muscle and is anticipated to miss eight to 10 weeks.
Dach, who has recorded five goals and two assists in 15 games this season, will now have to focus on recovery before returning to the ice.
