Ottawa’s Gabriela Dabrowski and her doubles partner Erin Routliffe from New Zealand have decided to part ways as a team. The duo had a successful partnership in 2025, clinching victories at three doubles events in Stuttgart, Cincinnati, and the U.S. Open.

Reflecting on their journey, Dabrowski took to Instagram to express their shared experiences of “titles, tears, and triumphs,” emphasizing the unpredictable emotional ride they had. Despite concluding their professional collaboration, the bond of friendship between them remains strong.

While Routliffe competes under New Zealand’s banner, she also holds Canadian citizenship and previously represented Canada in tennis. Dabrowski and Routliffe joined forces in 2023, securing their first Grand Slam title at the U.S. Open that year, marking a significant milestone in both their careers.

Although the official announcement of their split was made on Wednesday, it was noted that Dabrowski and Routliffe had already started playing with different partners towards the end of the previous season. However, they reunited briefly at the WTA Finals before confirming their separation.
